The problem is police data in that jurisdiction showed what occured was standard practice and would appear to be inline with the police handbook guidelines and well known to the police chief for example. In a 5 year period 44 people out of 237 were made unconscious, unconscious versus death is a very small difference I would think and if the health, including intoxicants , at the time of the other 44 was the same as that of George Floyd, how many would have likely died. Effectively the authorities have accepted the guidelines were wrong and have since changed them. If I was the defense lawyer this would be my line of argument and that my client didn't know the risks and is a simple policeman with no medical training other than basic first aid who put his trust in the guidelines which have been in effect for however many years.

You're truly nuts and have just threatened a racial war against whites if a defense lawyer uses an argument you don't approve of. I hope some authority is monitoring this because of what you have just said and your direct threat of "war" could be a crime.

@marcusmccurley7686 unless it's changed it's murder 2. Agree though that murder 2 looks shakey. Murder 3 which is essentially manslaughter which is another charge for Chauvin does look likely based on a previous case in the same jurisdiction where a police officer shot an unarmed person who was of no threat. Murder 1 is premeditated I believe so can't be that.
