As per other response I would suggest pet fish whether you on 1000 acres or in a tiny apartment you can do that along with talking to family , friends or calling a help line if you are really not feeling well and need to talk to someone. Hope all goes well with you but it will probably take time.

@marylee4553 I don't think you understood my point Trump did actually say the problem with testing is more positive results or words to that effect. Flagged as in like the saying that's a red flag particularly used in investment language like the CEO is selling down his or her holding indicating he or she doesn't have confidence in the company which is a red flag.

@Midwest-hx8wf I wanna know when is America going to either thank or litigate against Australia. Rupert Murdoch was our greatest export and the Fox network was one of his biggest creations. But you did want him lol.

Trump has flagged your answer , the problem is testing creates positive results so just stop testing by 1 October then the problem is solved

@marylee4553 yes in Australia and a little bit in Thailand and Malaysia.

Probably there has and it could be a business owner for example who didn't have mental issues before but lost everything, I think it could also be an issue for young people thinking there is no future for them.

@valeriequinn8942 once it's over whenever that may be (over is everything has run it's course and we back to normal) based on history there will be a strong worldwide recovery and it will be relatively fast.

@shaejen127 which countries. Australia , New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, HK, Thailand all did lockdowns, are we worse off? Most country mentioned are opening up. The key was the initial response and taking the threat seriously and good contact tracing and testing in the initial stages of the pandemic. The US can only do mitigation not containment now because of previous failures . While we could descend into your situation you can never get yourself into our situation. Christie is the first person I see in US politics talk about mental health which was a serious consideration in Australia even a month ago, which probably has reduced the timing in our reopening. I wish the US the best of luck . Ok I just discovered maybe Taiwan didn't but their initial response leaves even Australia for dead, pardon the pun.

@charlesklempner8273 It's not that simple and if people lack the confidence and hide in their homes as you put it jobs won't be available anyway because of no customers. Calling people names won't achieve much in my opinion. Yes if you are aged from maybe 10 years old to 40 years old and don't have health issues including obesity your chance of dying is probably 1 in 1000 or less but just consider others.

@charlesklempner8273 thanks for reply. I look at US politics because it fascinates me. We do have some of the same issues to the US regarding people s animosity to each other but we have a multi party system and not a 2 party system which allows for those on the extremes to join smaller political parties. This makes a difference I think because major parties don't have to have extreme policies in some cases. Both political groups have people not even willing to listen or consider alternative views and sorry to say it just act in anger which reduces those people's chance further of actually being listened to outside of the echo chamber. So I would encourage you to not throw insults if you want a chance to be listened to. When others do it to you it feels bad so why do it to others. I have thought a bit about what should the US do now , noting I haven't thought about that till now. Australia's situation at the moment is completely different so what I want for Australia is completely different to what I think the States within the US should do. Looking at the numbers I think most states should probably adopt the Swedish model now and due to political restraints I apply that thinking to all. Protect the vulnerable and continuous testing for hospital and aged care workers. If resources permit once an outbreak in either of these settings is confirmed replace the entire staff with people who it is believed don't have it. I do differ with mask wearing compared to the Swedish or Australian model because that is what US people want. If testing the groups mentioned above after that test others with flu like symptoms and 2 weeks enforceable quarantine in the case of a positive result to ensure hospitals are not over run. Best of luck anyway and I have no idea how but I hope the US becomes less divided.

As a non American I have no idea and just judge based on what he just said and with possibly a slightly different emphasis I agree but totally agree mental health is a serious issue.

I am outsider don't worry I not provide undue influence. But Red is the Chinese Communist Party and Republican party. Best to be safe red and orange and yellow are also a symbol of a poisonous creature and danger. So red tie, orange face and yellow hair seems like a decent warning. Read the biological warnings.

@frankbrown536 this isn't exactly a Jihad or White supremacists channel, speak freely and keep it reasonably civil that's all.

Are you serious? Do you think that all that has happened hasn't caused a single bit of distress or anxiety to anyone. People losing jobs and some knowing due to their age may never get another one, people going bankrupt, people losing multiple family members knowing in some cases it was preventable. Ok you stick to your opinion if it helps your mental health but maybe keep it to yourself.
