@patrickc3419 The first 2 certainly didn't occur in Queensland and the other things you mentioned occurred all over the world. You are a rather ignorant person who doesn't believe in property rights at all because you do not respect property owners right to have conditions of entry. @gameshot586 It's relative, you are aware only 1 in 7 businesses last 4 years right and your personal example was just News Corporation consolidating, nothing to do with pandemic whether or not they used that as an excuse. Queensland's economy is far better than others in Australia and better than virtually every "open" country which aren't open actually , they still having lockdowns in Europe. As far as inflation of petrol actually nothing to do with QLD, that's world oil price and tax. You have to remember nowhere has had a boom and yes some businesses have failed just as they did in Sweden. We could become socialist like Northern European countries with government spending over 50% of GDP or run on debt like US , Canada and UK, do you favour either of these options? Everything is open , I am not saying QLD should lockdown so your last comment is just absurd.

@gameshot586 Oh and I am unaware of the Aussie Coup d'etat when the military took over and freed people from the leper colonies. The great leper liberation movement. I thought they ignored the lepers and fought against Japanese and Allies, Germans and allies and communist North Korea , Communist North Vietnam. Anyway look forward to this history I was unaware of. Leper colonies were far worse than any covid restrictions.

@Mogadorus that one I am uncertain, antivaxxers might be big beer drinkers on average, not sure. I do drink but in the Australian context cask wine is the cheapest so that's my choice. Prefer beer but it's above my budget for now.

@gameshot586 You're all over the shop, you complain you got sacked because of market forces, now you talking about communism. Why complain about losing your job when the market decided you were surplus to requirements? I ask you what you would prefer as in higher socialism and you don't answer. If you are getting Australian minimum wage of $20 AUD per hour and complaining about to the cost of food $1.40 for cheap bread and $12 per kilo for beef mince, $3.90/kg for whole Chicken. So you poor thing have to work 1 hour per day for excess food requirements. Maybe you want prawns and wagyu everyday, not my problem I am ok with Chicken and beef or kangaroo mince and veges for $1 per kilo if I can be bothered going to budget fruit shop instead of supermarket.

@gameshot586 So now you tell me you are sitting pretty with a great job, good for you , stop being paranoid. A big part of inflation or high retail prices in Australia is high wages. You're right about big corporations becoming dominant which is what happens in a free market, look at the fast food chains, they dominate now and people like that. No Rothschilds doesn't own the world. As far as government debt yes it's an issue but we still in a much stronger position than almost every wealthy nation on earth. Anyway you take care.

@gameshot586 Yes but things are not going to double in price any time soon. You point out beef is up a bit , but chicken on the other hand is the same price. Australia is a free market economy and the price of beef is international, higher beef prices are good for Australia actually, we have to sell something. The issues affecting beef are improvements in ASEAN and East Asian economies along with issues in the US which is a significant market for low cost beef as in mince for hamburgers. You do support Australia being a free market economy I hope and yes means mince is a few dollars dearer but our country needs revenue so keyboard warriors like us can import phones and computers as an example.
