  1. Why do people think that " hate crime " laws should be involved? I am curious because you are implying it's ok to do that behaviour to someone of your same race and then it's not criminal. While this case might or might not be racially motivated who cares, someone has wronged another person and such behaviour does occur frequently within a racial group based on class etc.
