  2. Not exactly Australia operates in the same manner. Our states run health. There is universal health cover though. The federal government provides a significant amount of funding to our states who run the hospitals. We also have a private healthcare system running in parallel which interacts with the public system more often in the elective surgery part of the system. The US system is all over the place with some states playing a major roll in healthcare and others not.

  3. How is it the smart Chinese could contain it and the US couldn't? For you to be correct China must be a much superior nation. I don't think this is the case they had some initial failures but by Jan 20 they realised as did the entire world, before this China didn't realize otherwise they would have stopped it spreading around China and locked Wuhan down earlier. Why couldn't the US stop the spread internally if it was such an easy thing to do?

  4. Don't look at Western Europe, they failed too in the beginning. Look at Western Pacific countries who largely successful in the beginning until now. For the response after the initial failures Western Europe is appropriate to compare to in many ways.
