@matthewn1805 You the same documentary as me. Some great commander named Tom Cruise was working under an assumed name and defeated them. The US looks alien to us in the West Pacific.

It's a living thing when it replicates , a human egg isn't living either, it does nothing just like a plant seed until it receives the correct temperature and moisture levels.

A White lie mr Dr Campbell you know it's in the US, 100 times the flights compared to Australia but it didn't get there , come on now. If you said 99% chance but it's not impossible it hasn't reached there yet I would pay that one.

@macmcleod1188 I think the theory that viruses become less deadly is incorrect in so far as the virus doesn't change it just kills less over time as immunity is increased in the population. The black death or plague kept going. As long as humans or any species can reproduce the virus has no reason to be less deadly. A true killer virus tends to knock out 99% of a population in nature. Consider myxamitosis used in Australia to wipe out European rabbits and it did initially kill 99% plus. So if humans just ignored a virus and it was truly deadly noting it's impossible for this to occur a virus could easily kill 50% of a population. If viruses such as Ebola , Hendra Virus , avian flu , even MERS became highly transmissible with a slow incubation time it could be a real disaster where the outbreak occurs. I threw in Hendra virus because it's from Australia and the most deadly based on very limited data but no known human to human transmission so we are safe from it for now. So if you ever news story that Hendra virus has had an outbreak and human to human transmission is occurring close your border to Australia and forced quarantine for any evacuees.
