  1.  Roberto The Don  giving antibodies only slows the spread or replication of the virus , it's up to the patient to still fight the virus with his or her own antibodies, a bit like countries with no enforcement of quarantine or self isolation, it will slow the spread because some will follow it voluntarily, but every country that does this knows it will not stop the spread and just buys a very short period of time. So a better question is why are governments against the science still insisting in voluntary measures only despite no country on the planet succeeding using this method and worse economic and mental health problems and more deaths from the virus and reduced other medical care.

  2.  Roberto The Don  I haven't looked into it but what could have occured is the patient is actually fighting the foreign antibodies weakening their immune system. A bit like in the beginning it seems many died from being over medicated and put on breathing machines much too quickly. It will be a long time before the best medical response by which country is known because it seems literally hundreds of different treatment methods with all sorts of drugs and doses and adjusting for demographics. Hopefully in the future some academic group does this without bias.
