Remember when they compared it to a wildfire or bushfire , now the US and Europe in general look like California or Victoria Australia in a very bad fire season. It doesn't help if the bloke in charge is a fire bug.

@---fc2ph technically you could be right he could become vice president indefinitely or until he's dead and nothing really stopping the president of the day handing over to the vice president as acting president. But alas I think he'll be gone by 20 Jan sometime during that day.

@alanjm1234 Nothing to do with the quarantine issue actually , it's all about contact tracing, QLD , NSW , SA and NZ all had quarantine breaches if you look internationally same for Japan, South Korea , Vietnam and Thailand. A quarantine breach is any cases entering the population. The contact tracing is fixed in Victoria big time, 2,500 people still employed according to Dan Andrews in press conference yesterday or day before. The original relaxed approach of Victoria was problematic with nothing more than a $100 fine compared to prison time in other states. $100 if I am the sort of person to break rules I don't care, prison I think twice.

I hope you have restricted travel across the border otherwise people will just keep bringing it in as soon as lockdown finishes.

John did show a previous study that indicated that if you have flu and covid 19 together your chance of death was 2.24 times that of covid 19 only. So if the flu and covid 19 spread together it's far worse. Along with better treatments I do think this would be a major and possibly more significant factor in many cases, I theorise that North East USA and Northern Italy had both at the same time because the deaths in those areas are about double per capita of total population of everywhere else.
