  1. Totally agree with your last point , Japan, Western Australia, China and New Zealand seem to be the last covid 0 holdouts, better they let Omicron in/spread but in a semi controlled manner.

  2. Depends which state you are in, can't generalize Australia. Australia has NSW which is completely open with extremely minor mandates (mask wearing indoors in some places) to WA which is still locked away and Covid 0.

  4.  @thegreenbikerider6189  That's good and bad news, the quicker the better that Omicron takes over (news reports suggest Omicron is now majority in Victoria), but pity it's medical staff getting infected. The tide might well turn soon, I am in QLD and we have no natural immunity and a lower vaccination rate. Everything is often so subtle, the density of Brisbane vs Melbourne and the weather I believe has played a significant role and same can be seen in Auckland, we all acted identically with Delta but only QLD got rid of it (obviously not anymore with our border open). You've done it tough down there, I hope and wish you, your family and your state the best.
