If the UK Post or whatever it might be called is like the USPS especially if results are sent back the same way you should get an answer around May or so.

That applies to every government on the planet at some point in time, my Australian government (and opposition) is fortunately at a good point in the cycle. South Africa s overall response is no worse than most of Europe or US so don't be too down if you are from there.

These are young healthy people at 0.005% risk or something, more risk crossing the road. And they will be considered heroes. Apparently as reported fairly early on in Alabama they had covid 19 parties where people would compete to get infected first, some weren't so young or fit and it cost them. But the point is they should have done the trial in the US, willing volunteers who only want some beer or something.

@MartsTravel If money is an incentive to join the trial that is unethical in my opinion, because even though the risk of anything serious is almost 0 for the trial participant it means they are attracting the vulnerable to take the risk. The amount seems significantly higher than expenses would be.

@MartsTravel if I was 20 and fit why not, but I am 47, I got the virus and it certainly wasn't pleasant had chest pains for maybe 5 minutes after waking each day sometimes twice with a few minutes in between, I guess low blood oxygen levels, lots of headaches and spit up about 6 tablespoon of fluid every morning so I guess some pneumonia. At the time I didn't think that seriously about it and couldn't get tested. In retrospect I was probably in a lot worse shape than I realised and possibly qualified to go to hospital. Other things that occurred was conguctivitis when waking eyelids literally sealed together, herpes and tinea flared up big time. I smoke and drink a lot and I do consider myself somewhat lucky as in not unlucky because others like me died. I am not overweight or wasn't at the time and not entirely unfit, but since then I probably haven't regained my fitness to what I was partly because of me and partly the long term effects I think.
