The guy running conspiracy theories, he doesn't need others to make him look bad, go look at all the comments along the lines of "all the current outbreak is as a result of the Southern US border and Biden is sending infected illegal immigrants into all the red states". DeSantis is a dangerous nutter, the US is a violent nation and making violent people with guns angry through conspiracy theories isn't good. If you say but Americans will kill each other over minor issues anyway , not the politicians fault just like the January 6 tourists to the Capitol well ok you will accept anything.

@nicolelawrence5177 the contribution to spread by open borders from illegal immigrants is neither here nor there, the Delta variant didn't come from Latin America and the Delta variant makes up 90% of the cases in the US. If you are against open borders then it's unfortunate if you are a US citizen because it's been the same policy the entire time, there hasn't been a single day of compulsory quarantine for arrivals the entire time except for a few evacuation flights from China very early on. So why talk about illegal immigration if it's a health issue and bipartisan policy anyway.

@nicolelawrence5177 You agree with me then, not having any quarantine for arrivals for the entire pandemic up until now was probably not the right decision and it was a bipartisan decision. Of course Australia isn't going to change it's policy, we don't want the same as the open border countries (regarding covid 19) which is all of Europe and the Americas. Florida if it wants can close it's border to the rest of the US unless compulsory quarantine , nobody stopping them.
