@marleneholloway7775 What on earth are you talking about, you can hate your country like the other person should you wish , Australia is a free country. If you haven't saved enough money in your lifetime to hire a plane and go to a country that will accept people like you , that is unvaccinated well don't blame others. There's unlikely to be a vaccine mandate in a couple of years so you can leave then if you have at least enough money to support yourself. Couldn't care less what you think of WA Labor, got nothing to do with anything. The policies of ALP and LNP are identical, some variations by state. Anyway best of luck and hope you don't get covid, your age group a percent or 2 chance it will kill you assuming it's omicron, slightly higher for another variant. Not sure if Corey is an antivaxxer so maybe they could catch a regular flight.

@marleneholloway7775 Yes you did say you hated Australia, referring to it as a sh*t hole is hate and you agreed with the other person who said that. If you want to backtrack and just say I have felt anxious during this time and afraid of governments or whatever ok that's different.

@marleneholloway7775 I sent another message but it did not get through, I will repeat that message from my memory and maybe adding a bit without using language which might have got it deleted at some point in time but not now , this is a direct comment. Technically the language was softer than the comment you responded to and ok you are a person who thinks that saying that the country is a sh*t hole is something to be proud of , so patriotic. You indicated 2 things , one you rely on handouts because you can't leave the country and you are incapable of looking after yourself, it's not about fortune if you decide to put $1,000 away and invest it per year you would be better off , you didn't do that so you say and can't leave the country you hate so much. For a 78 year old not understanding that calling their own country a sh*t hole is not patriotic I have to question who you are. I don't believe you for a second. You are a very fortunate one, my dad died at 70 and mum 66 , for you to ask for pity is pathetic considering you want other people to die while thinking you are invincible.

@marleneholloway7775 Hey best of luck and consider getting the vaccine, I know you fear it for whatever reason but the evidence is it reduces your chance of a bad outcome and as you would be fully aware the chance of a bad outcome in your age group is a few percent, with vaccination less than 1%. Just remember if we compare numbers if Australia didn't do what we did would have 50,000 souls lost and if WA hadn't been so hardline like every state actually other than VIC and NSW which both had long lockdowns in their capitals. How could you have wished that WA had that, much tougher or completely open like Europe or US , the worst of both, more deaths and more lockdown lite. In 2 weeks your border opens and as you can see in QLD the cases will be rampant and put pressure on hospitals pretty quickly.

@marleneholloway7775 My only problem is you calling Australia a shit hole despite the fact you are on a pension higher than the average wage in the world. Of course you are entitled to it but why on earth you are complaining is beyond me. You have an extreme sense of entitlement and 0 appreciation. Yes things were a little bit tough noting WA has barely had a lockdown. Tens of thousands of deaths for the country would have been a lot tougher than tens of thousands inconvenienced. Parts of Europe and Canada are in lockdown right now yet your open state is the worst place in the planet living off one of the most generous welfare systems in the world.

@marleneholloway7775 I looked back and maybe you weren't agreeing with that particular comment of another calling Australia a sh't hole but there other statement, however saying you will tell others how it really is and people shouldn't come to Australia seemed to be in complete agreement with that statement. So tell people if you can manage to get into Australia, highest or second highest minimum wage in the world, free universal healthcare, life expectancy in the top 10 in the world , a generous social welfare system and low taxes for a wealthy country that isn't running up public debt like crazy unlike say UK or US ( caveat it's run up fairly quickly recently but still slower than those I mentioned ). Feel free to tell everyone how it is in Australia. Australia is a great place to be and without those border controls that are now coming down there would have 10s of thousands of deaths and whatever it ends up being now will be far less. Anyway as I said best of luck. 2 weeks or so you will have nothing to complain about, the virus will be in.

@ajs41 Nowhere has a covid 0 policy in Australia, look at our case numbers. Western Australia just wants to wait until 90% of 16+ population double dosed vaccinated before opening border.

@marleneholloway7775 in person you are probably nice but you seem completely out of touch with the worse situations in other countries. Given your age it surprises me and I don't mean offence by this but when you were young life was far tougher for everyone in Australia. All the modern technology and wealth we have now as a country couldn't really be imagined. If we had open borders and deaths through the roof from covid 19 we would also have a much worse economy. I hope you somehow don't get covid or in the 90% or so in your age group that don't need to be hospitalized. Best of luck and take care.
