@conorwhite2889 Due to interventions the virus has barely spread in many countries. What's happening in Europe though is interesting. What John says is correct, that we don't know many things.

@pakde8002 Are you calling the US a developing country? The life expectancy in Mississippi is lower than places like Palestine or Thailand or Vietnam. But not all states are equal so the country might be low for a high income country but overall not too bad.

The point that possibly people are getting a smaller dose when infected is interesting, also the mode of infection may have altered due to behaviour changes. The survival rate from Anthrax is about double if the infection is through the skin when compared to the lungs. Although Anthrax is a bacteria the same principle may well apply, also why don't they infect a few young healthy volunteers using different methods to find out if it's a factor. I know it's possibly "unethical " but given the low risk versus something like anthrax or SARS1 for example which would be unethical due to high risk.
