Romania certainly isn't short of hospital beds and ICU beds in total, in fact they are very high in both. Life expectancy in Romania is only about 1 year less than US. Maybe things aren't perfect but they aren't really bad either going on the data. The deaths from covid 19 are through the roof and it's probably mostly down to vaccination rates. Other Eastern European countries with low vaccination rates are consistent with deaths per million so doesn't seem to be anything about reporting.

@imho2278 actually I picked the lowest wealthy country life expectancy. I didn't comment on that and actually use them because of the fact Romania isn't so different.
