Well if vaccines are working at 95% in stopping deaths give or take then it's not a big issue, however most of the world isn't vaccinated so no matter the variant they are all still quite dangerous at a population level. I agree looks like it's endemic and will be like the flu, every few years because of variants relatively large numbers of vulnerable die compared to average years.
