The lockdowns kill people and it's the duration of the lockdown that matters not whether it's lockdown proper like Australia did over an 8 weeks period nationwide initially or the US lockdown lite that basically lasted all of 2020 to varying degrees in different states. Excess deaths in the US between 26 January and 3 October 2020 were 300,000 with 200,000 attributed to covid 19. In Australia can't remember exactly but it was a few hundred excess deaths in the first 6 months of 2020 and the excess deaths were mostly diabetes and some form of heart disease with a graph showing these occurring during lockdown. I know your point is probably will catching covid cause long-term damage resulting in increased heart disease in the future and we will just have to wait and see.

Because there's less than 2 million of you, can't even fill a decent sized city. So it's not personal.

I would suggest your last comment is the most relevant, all those European countries have lower obesity rates and except for Netherlands a higher life expectancy (pre pandemic numbers). My country Australia is an anomaly because our obesity rate is fairly high but our life expectancy is also very high. Another issue might be the distribution by age of vaccines. If you dig down enough into the data you will usually find a logical reason but I doubt it would be natural infection rates because those are all very similar throughout Europe.

People's general health has gone both directions, some people have gone on a health kick also. Nobody is shoving unhealthy food down people's throats and stopping them from going for a walk outdoors even if it's more restricted in some places.
