@johnwang9914 In short you are saying the Western Pacific WHO region policy is the right one, for all member countries that is the policy , 14 days mandatory enforced (usually hotel) quarantine, no matter which country someone comes from. Philippines has done the worst but less than 10% of deaths per capita compared to US and most of Western Europe.

@johnwang9914 WHO message has been fine, why do you think it is the worst case numbers of a country in Western Pacific region of WHO is less than 10% of US or most of Western Europe, you even acknowledge this in a different comment. Unless it's a remarkable coincidence WHO operates at the regional level how can it be 20 countries all follow for example what appears to be the Western Pacific region policy , 14 days mandatory enforced (usually hotel) quarantine for entry from any country and another 20 countries in let's say PAHO Pan-American Health Organization region all follow open borders 10 days voluntary quarantine. The probability is near 0 that this is a coincidence. Blame your regional office which is run by your country with it's neighbours. don't blame the WHO unless you think it should be some dictatorship led from the top.

Not sure which country you are from but sound like one of those countries that had no quarantine at all or tiny partial measures, quarantine completely full of holes. You are expressing discontent with your countries policy of lockdown for the peasants I am guessing, small business are peasants too but international travel for the well to do is fine.

What everyone in the comment thread seems not to recognize is a partial lockdown, ( closing some businesses locally) isn't a lockdown by definition, go tell an inmate next time they go into "lockdown" they are free to leave the prison, I can assure you that they will look at you strange. Not a single county in the US locked down and not a single county had 0 infections. The US has had completely free travel both domestically and internationally for those who can afford it and voluntary quarantine, in other words no quarantine.
