@jacobpetersen5662 Howard Springs is far from horrifying , far better than hotel quarantine which literally hundreds of thousands have gone through in all Western Pacific WHO region countries. Not sure why an improvement in accomodation from a converted mining camp is attracting so much attention. Maybe something to do with propaganda.

@SUPER8ALTERN8 Australian economy has performed far better than UK, US and Canada at much lower cost to government. Maybe you should ask that question to your own country whichever one that is.

@SUPER8ALTERN8 You literally just said other countries killed thousands of people so that natural immunity could be achieved and the extra monetary cost to do so was worth it (paraphrasing your comment). Omicron seems to be less deadly , so much better to get whether vaccinated or not than previous variants so no , all evidence points to many lives saved which has value in it of itself.

@donnam2012 Allowing an outbreak in a single nursing home in Queensland prior to vaccines would have created a far greater death toll to date and I believe more than half the QLD deaths so far were actually imported from that cruise ship in Sydney.
