The decent education thing is not the issue. If a child misses a year of school so what. It's about psychology issues of the parents and the children.

Just make sure you ask first because the vaccines might not be recommended for you at this stage. Have to remember it's emergency use so vaccines may not have been tested on people like yourself.

@rijamor Well it happens all the time, a small but significant number of children do miss a year of school due to things like illness, is there evidence that these people underperform the general society? A fairly large number of people get held back a year because of migration and learning a new language and these people on average I believe outperform locally born populations. So where is your evidence that missing a year of school assuming that the household situation is good causes any harm?

No not first state to have it, just first to detect it. The national number for genomic testing in the US is 0.3% of cases, my guess is some states never do it.

@kassrripples3659 Australia is making some of the Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine. If the Australian vaccine candidate went ahead which it didn't we would have also been producing that. Without knowing the details reports keep coming out about ingredient shortages, it might make no difference at all how many countries producing the vaccines because the limitations is the ingredients whatever they are. Ingredient manufacturing might be the more important issue.
