Hey thanks for volunteering, that vaccine is in production in Australia all ready based on the expectation/hope it gets approved by the Australian/New Zealand TGA .

Dave Smith You can comment as much as you please. Everything is open in Australia with very few restrictions, not sure what you mean by police state. Maybe you are thinking of El Paso Texas or something where they have a curfew and they've brought in the refrigerated trucks just like NYC did before. Maybe you are thinking of the paramilitary police and or military ( National Guard) in Philadelphia recently. Good luck where ever you are from and enjoy the level of freedom you have.

If you are in a trial of course be a little afraid, that's what the trial is for to check if it's safe and effective. If the trials have been done then it's found to be safe but I would personally be concerned with the Pfizer one because it's very difficult to keep millions of doses stored at -80c and could the vaccine be harmful if not stored properly. I hope you are doing ok.

You need data which means infected people and you compare the infection rates between the vaccinated group versus placebo group. Doing a phase 3 trial in Australia or New Zealand etc. would be pointless because nobody is going to get infected.
