It's not mutually exclusive. Whether it's his decisions or bad luck will never be known.

Trumpism isn't dead just because you want it dead. It's more infectious and longer lasting than Covi SARS2.

I am in Australia, why not get rid of the virus then you can have the freedoms you desire. For some reason people don't like others dying around them for no good reason so you can't convince everyone to play Russian roulette with all old people. The economy can't improve under your current situation people will hide as you say and not contribute to the economy. Best of luck but please consider others even if it's to be absolutely selfish and get out of the situation.

@crashoppe seems you didn't read my screen name, everything is open where I am , no need for masks because we got rid of covid 19 and any outbreaks are pounced upon. Good luck to you because your country has your desired policy.

No how can Australia do tens of thousands of tests in a day and find no cases?, seems the tests work just fine unless in the US you stuffed it up.

@foxgree5910 Look at Australia versus the US and you have your answer of what should have been done differently. The US can't even stop the virus in a single state including those not connected to the mainland plus Puerto Rico. That's what absolute failure looks like.

@moniquelestine8855 you are a country that has conscription in your constitution the right to infect does not exist and in fact the same rules exist in the US as Australia regarding covid 19 but it's 100% voluntary pretty much in the US. The processes for each state will often be different due sometimes to constitutional restraints and sometimes due to laws of that particular state. For a country that seems to have curfews for riots somewhere or another every month or so governments certainly have the power to make you stay home etc.

@moniquelestine8855 The problem with your argument is you are simply incorrect, if the US and state governments can't make rules regarding health and enforce them because of something in the constitution then your country has unlawfully locked up 400,000 people for such offences. Please do your bit for liberty and have them freed if you believe the government can't do this. These are people locked up for drug crimes and you lock them up at double the rate of Australia , so don't give me a lecture about your constitution and freedoms. Taking a drug can't kill another person whereas spreading a virus does. I do agree with drug laws however I also believe the US is locking too many people up regarding this issue , lock dealers up is fair enough , they are like a covid 19 spreader ( BLM protests and Trump rallies are morally equivalent). I repeat give me this police state any day if it actually means people have life. Check all your other premature death rates if you want and the US performs badly across the board. Obviously life isn't valued as highly as in other wealthy countries. A dead or imprisoned person isn't free, and this should be considered when thinking at the population level , what is freedom.

Although I don't like a lot of the comments here, it's about his family and friends, he is dead, he is gone and obviously couldn't care less. I think it's bad to dig the boot in so to speak for those living. Whether someone agreed or disagreed with his politics that's really irrelevant.
