Pre 2000 it can't have happened and pre 2010 not on this scale. This is in part what the story is about , the sophistication.

  3.  @filipasales9291  I am not American but my observation is the US president is between an absolute monarchy and constitutional monarchy. He chooses the entire unelected government, all the secretaries called ministers in other countries and he can veto any law single handed without any requirement in practice to consult others. He can ignore laws on the books and just do nothing but he can't spend money that hasn't been assigned and granted to him and his unelected government for particular purposes although I think this is a grey area and if money was spent for an alternative purpose I can't see how this could be stopped.

  4. Full lockdown containment and elimination is best if a country can achieve it, however for most places and densely populated slums it's impossible to get there now most likely because the populations will just riot.

  6. The big deal is how they are doing it and how comfortable are people with this occuring. This level of targeting could not have occured 20 years ago. The reporter did point out it was all entirely legal. I am Australian and if it is occurring here which is a possibility I guess, it certainly makes me uncomfortable.

  12. The US media would need to independently research the issue and verify it and Americans don't trust their own media so they aren't going to trust foreign media. This is no good for the Biden campaign either because Trump just needs to say fake news funded by the UK government and how everyone in the world is out to get him which his base already believes. World leaders who are allies haven't spoken directly against Trump but if you listen to some of the UN speeches about misinformation regarding covid 19 I can't think of who they might mean, can you?

  13.  @noneofyourbeeswax01  4 to 5% is purely based on Trump's age and that he is male. As far as his weight and other issues I have no opinion or idea if he would be better or worse than average for his age, non smoker and drinker is good but weight certainly isn't.

  14. The funniest thing is they having a go at Chinese press who said this was not a surprise and the administrations policies caused it. I have looked at other non US media and seems a bit like the Chinese going soft. Every media outlet state owned or privately owned outside of the US has exactly the same opinions. LOL. Even Fox News in the US points out the arrogant behaviour of the Trump family at the debate showing how powerful they are and ignoring a direction to wear masks.

  17. Of course it didn't, Sweden versus UK are just 2 different lockdown lite models. Lockdown proper with travel restrictions and quarantine is the West Pacific. Most countries other than Philippines and Indonesia due to lack of capability to stop the spread are as open or more open than Sweden other than the travel restrictions.

  18. Maybe toilet paper is a very essential product for protection against verbal diorhea. A lot of that has been occurring in the last few months . The highest risk is at news time when the politicians get to speak to everyone.
