I am Australian and watching with intrigue on this issue. In essence Trumps border policy is that of the Australian right and left. If the numbers often touted are correct there are 10,000,000 undocumented (illegal) immigrants in the US. Time to as a previous Australian prime minister said "we will decide who comes to this country" . Although not widely publicised most of those in the system were granted citizenship. Australia's situation is very different however my personal opinion is control that border 1,000,000 troops are on standby and only a few of them maybe 3% would be needed to secure your border and grant citizenship to all non criminals who have been in the country longer than 1 year. In other words fix it and get it over and done with. Of course can't deport 10,000,000 people so give them citizenship.
