  1. A lot of government rules based on a constitution or laws of a country are essentially based on honesty. This isn't anything unique about the US it's the way every country operates. The US however as a country is more vulnerable that say a country like mine Australia because one person the president is the head of state and head of government and chooses the entire unelected executive government which he/she can fire at will to ensure only loyalists in every position of power.
