  2. Walmart is an interesting case. They might be able to maintain profits from what will be a smaller pie by gaining customers from higher cost retailers. Retailers overall will suffer because people's after tax spending ability is reduced because of tariffs.

  3. Nah, many billionaires will become poorer as in profits will go down. If you're involved in export or import or retail it's going to be really hard to maintain profits from a smaller pie.

  5.  @PhillipJackson-n7m  what a silly comment. I am not American but I can tell you taxing the people with low and middle incomes so they can buy less imported goods hurts those people. How is hurting low and middle income people good for USA?
