  2. @mistercohaagen  I'm Australian so I don't have any strong opinions on the matter other than Trump will stuff it up. I was in the military a long time ago and nobody would stop volunteers doing that job. Maybe in some units there might be peer pressure not to do it, that's as far as it will go. If anyone tries to stop them from the military they would be looking at charges so it's not going to happen. Civilians might protest and disrupt things and if that happens I guess we will see how it goes. The military personnel probably will only be able to do certain jobs like checkpoints for example and ICE has to do any arrests etc. There's a lot of legal issues when military personnel are used.

  3. ​ @SoloAuxz You will pay more in taxes from tariffs but same in income taxes, that money required for whatever will be put on the government tab , raising the debt.

  4. There's 2 million military personnel in the US. I am sure could get 100,000 to volunteer to such a deployment no problems. Best to use volunteers so they will be more enthusiastic.

  5. It's not that simple, US citizens might not be allowed to just get citizenship of the country of a parent especially if adult.
