  1. I think you are possibly correct on both counts. It could be a landslide for Democrats and unless WWIII breaks out or something it can't be a Republican landslide but they could possibly sneak in from available information.

  2. Nobody is taking the direct threat of blocking the aid package seriously. The threat is if you don't vote for me you won't get money until the end of January. This will certainly win a certain number of votes the question is will it lose more votes than it gains, it's all a numbers game and unless the Republicans say this is wrong it will work. I am not American but curious if anyone reads this is the threat a positive or negative for the Trump vote at this stage?
