Looking on besides the excessive punishments and parole denials I don't think prisoners should be working in private enterprise, should be for public things like maintaining parks or schools or whatever, Looking after public assets, not effectively providing super reliable private employees who can't leave under threat of punishment.

  2. They should all be mixed government and private. Government is better at some things and private enterprise is better at others. Having a functional government is the key where decisions are evidence based.
