@JazzyScat Well in the clip the old veterans did agree to guard it. It's not entirely clear that all the people removing that fence were mandate protestors, one appeared to be and another didn't comment.

From the vandalism and disrespect that had already occurred by protestors. Urination etc. on the monument is offensive to many.

@EyesBlack2 so you're saying the reports on the matter were inaccurate and nothing happened not even the dancing on the tomb of the unknown soldier? If such a misinformation campaign exists this is somewhat on the scale of the Donald Trump election lies campaign, truly amazing that the Canadian government and media are as bad as Trump and Fox. I pity you if that's the case.
