  1. Austin Texas has never hit 120 Fahrenheit according to a quick search which is 49 Celcius. So quite rare as in never recorded.

  2. The knowledge that certain gases hold heat is well established, that certainly isn't psudoscience but predicting the likely effects is pretty much impossible other than the atmosphere will on average most likely be hotter.

  3. The tropics at least close to the equator don't get hotter air temperatures actually because it's either rainforest or sea.
