@prokaki1234 In Australia it's run at the state level , nothing to do with federal government for the most part, however the advice and "national cabinet" as it's called and the external border protocols from the federal government have worked very well. I am in Queensland a cautious state and only 7 deaths for 5 million people, can't really get much better than that.

China will do fine unless overwhelmed, 5 Nanjings they can't do the testing etc. etc., It's no different in Australia if the 3 large Eastern States all have a problem equivalent to NSW it will overwhelm everything. The national government can't give some extra vaccines, manpower from the military for contact tracing and helping police etc. to 3 major states at once plus it puts the finances in extremely bad shape with all the handouts.

The WHO isn't some authoritarian world power, they couldn't force countries to do what they suggested. It's run at the regional level anyway or a remarkable coincidence. Look at the performance of Western Pacific WHO region versus PAHO Pan-American Health Organization and European WHO regions, less than 10% of the death toll per Capita in the Western Pacific region of WHO compared to the other 2 regions I mentioned even if you exclude China. Border quarantine and other measures versus open borders and everything is voluntary.
