  1. The term conservative often doesn't translate well in different countries and has different local meanings according to individual issues. In this case if you compare NZ Labour to Donald Trump you will find NZ Labour is a fiscal conservative government relative to the Trump administration which is big on tax cuts especially corporate and government borrowing. So what I am saying is one should not assume anything and just look at an individual party on any particular issue and the position of that country overall.

  2. Looking at this thread I am totally confused. Seems she is a popular leader who has dealt with covid 19 well. I am in Australia and will vote for the Labor party (similar political alignment) candidate in my state election because of the same reason. Many of our friends in North America and Europe are jealous.
