  1. Nah Queensland 7 deaths for a population of 5 million the best followed by Western Australia and then New Zealand but watch this space as positions can easily change. China's eventual response was really good after initial failures. Australia the states ran their own show , so Queensland shouldn't be lumped in with Victoria and New South Wales.

  2. That actually wasn't the real problem, everywhere has had quarantine breeches, it's impossible to have 0 spread in quarantine hotels. The problem was the slow response after the breech was known, 3 cities have gone into lockdown once a single Alpha case has been discovered in hotel quarantine staff, Auckland, Brisbane and Perth. Clearly this didn't occur in Taiwan, with prior variants rapid contact tracing and mass testing was good enough in most cases.

  4.  @catbertevil750  Of course they would be bad at treatment because it's a new disease for them. Can't compare to jurisdictions that have had a years practice. However it could simply be the virus has spread through a large number of aged care facilities and or hospitals with the most vulnerable people in them. I would doubt it's the cases detected are really low.
