  2. The comment thread doesn't recognize history, what the US in particular but UK and France as well did 60 years ago China is now doing. It's history that shapes the fears of those countries already burnt and of course there is a difference England was the country to stop international slave trade against the US as it was at the time who complied quickly and the Spanish who wanted to keep it. To give a stark example would it be ok for China to reinstitute the international slave trade? Well China isn't doing that but is pretty close to behaviour of US and some European countries fairly recently which ceased 20 plus years ago.
