  1. Invasive meaning not native, these crabs should only be in the pacific and indian oceans, not the atlantic.

  2. If you've got them too they are also invasive, Indo Pacific they come from. In Queensland Australia we call them sand crabs and they are native here.

  3.  @rikilamaru  Interesting, the problem is using common names, search blue swimmer crab and you will see a similar looking crab to the blue crab found in the Atlantic. The reporter stated that the crabs were from Indo Pacific so I am thinking it's our species. I'll watch the video again to see if clear enough to see which one it is.

  4.  @rikilamaru  just checked and if you look at the top of the shell you can see it's the Indo Pacific one because of the patterns I am certain whereas the Blue Crab from the Atlantic the top of the shell is pretty much one plain color.
