  1. The Trojan horse was a gift and didn't need to be paid for this university is a debt to be paid for. I am going to think of Hungary as Cambodia in the West, Cambodia blocked ASEAN from objecting to China's activities in the South China Sea which effects 5 out of 10 ASEAN countries.

  2.  @williemherbert1456  actually I think it's a strategic pattern, pick off one country out of any alliance grouping, New Zealand is the target for the 5eyes intelligence grouping, Pakistan for SAARC and no doubt they are doing the same inside the African union. China will largely succeed it seems in stopping any grouping making a joint statement against them but this will backfire creating a lot of resentment.

  5.  @kianyeelee9307  You are right in one respect, this is going to cause China problems, the US was doing the same sorts of things last century, either they don't get paid because a lot of these deals are uncommercial or they seize control of assets creating resentment. China should look at US behaviour in the past and not repeat it but they are doing the opposite, going full steam to sign as many countries up to unpopular deals. Often the population doesn't even know because China likes to deal with like minded secretive governments that hide things.
