Just a small correction , The New South Wales government makes restrictions inside NSW not the Australian government. Other states and territories have their own restrictions which all differ although all aiming for uniform restrictions or fully open for vaccinated travellers once everywhere over 90% 2 doses of vaccine of adults. We will see how it goes , NSW is largely the canary in the coal mine.

@bp8220 Are you suggesting Queensland and Western Australia are provinces of China? I hope not I live in Queensland. Your other proposition of being like Sweden , well you can't do that either people are refusing to get vaccinated and Americans are a lot fatter and less healthy from the get go. The US is basically just throwing money at the problem and achieving the worst result of a wealthy country. I think you will keep throwing money at the problem until that becomes overwhelming. I would be curious to know if health including all the covid stuff has topped 20% GDP and my guess is it would be 25% by now.
