  1. It's not going away but people are getting infected or vaccinated and deaths and hospitalization going down over time. So eventually large numbers of people will have some immunity and restrictions will reduce to nothing because it won't overwhelm hospitals. Let's hope we don't get another novel virus like this one in our lifetimes.
