Well if China does anything serious the entire world will turn against them. By the way the "useless freedom of navigation" is what the Chinese spy ship does in Australian exclusive economic zone to watch the naval exercises every couple of years, they like to come via the Torres Strait to make sure they get real close.

  4. What are you talking about? Other than with the Communists and Philippines it's colony it gave independence to with a terrible one sided trade deal the US didn't do what you suggest.

  5. Listening to other countries in the region is a strength not a weakness. The US might have been like China in the past and still is unfortunately to some countries. China going it alone to take on the world by bullying and belt and road debt with mostly dictatorship will give them a similar reputation to that of the US in the past for doing similar things. China is in its learning phase of how to be a superpower, it thinks it's so much smarter but when those dictatorship that run up debt with China are removed people will naturally become anti-China.
