@qjtvaddict What rubbish, Australia and New Zealand , virus free other than imported cases and the occasional quarantine breach. We speak English in this part of the world too.

@rudolfo8544 an ocean makes absolutely no difference just look at Malta, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It's wether you have compulsory quarantine or not. Victoria was out of control and had more cases than Germany at one point yet magically it didn't spread to other states. Now Germany just let things get out of control, not even putting police and or military checkpoints at state borders. Germany to this day has a 10 day voluntary quarantine for entry versus west Pacific standard or 14 days enforced quarantine. If you have an open border and voluntary measures you end with the same results, nothing to do with anything else, the virus doesn't walk across borders it comes through with people.

@steveberlin7784 Well search Dictator Dan Sky News Australia and you will see what the Victorian Premier went through having to change from a relaxed to strong policy, it wasn't easy anywhere. That said it's a lot harder when surrounded by failure in some respects.

These deaths are in no way helping democracy and if you've been following things quite the opposite with the US situation. China now looks appealing to poorer nations when compared to the isolationist USA.
