I am observing from afar and truth is the US hasn't fully come to terms with it's colonial past let alone slavery. The estimated 50,000 convicts sent from Britain in the colonial days have just disappeared after an inaccurate speech or writing by Thomas Jefferson (fake news just after independence who would have imagined). The convicts were treated the same as the black slaves but in theory would get freedom after their 7 or 14 year sentence. Because of their class I would think their would be quite a few descendents of a combined heritage of black slave and white convict. Common sense says that these convicts when in private hands may not have ever got their freedom.

How about the Bible it apparently suggests God will punish the sins of the parents for 3 or 4 generations. Maybe wait another hundred years. But what I have just pointed out is what many BLM supporters want, every white person to feel guilty even immigrants after slavery ended and when you think about it forgive the African slave traders who sold the slaves in the first place , noting that some descendents of these slave traders being more wealthy of course would have migrated to the US. A strange world we live in. So guilt is determined by skin colour and the guilt is intergenerational.

Many years ago in Australia there was a referendum to change the government to constitutionally a republic without changing anything other than the Governor General to become the President as chosen by a minimum of 2 thirds of the parliament I think it is. It obviously failed and interestingly the lower socio economic group voted against it. The US system of government has the president akin to a king or queen in an absolute monarchy. At the time when compared to an absolute monarchy it was better but I would suggest a constitutional monarchy where no individual has too much power is a better model. If a referendum was to be held tommorow in Australia for a Republic with a directly elected president I would vote no. I voted in favour last time around with no change in the operation of government. The governor general in Australia has veto power but I don't think it has ever been exercised.

Just a comment on your last line. "Western Civilization Supremacy has to end" . Is that comment a joke or something. What you are advocating is the downfall of Western English speaking democracies. Rule of law, freedom of speech, democracy for all. Maybe one day the most successful countries in the world will not be but let's hope that's a long time in the future. Which model of government would you prefer and which system of government would you prefer? Just curious to know.

@grmpEqweer I have read through your comments and in general I agree but that's got nothing to do with the system of government. China is currently doing the same thing, Australia has done similar things in the past as has Indonesia. It's really big countries treating smaller countries and or segments of their population badly. In Western democracies now I would say that the treatment internally is all good. This is not to say perfect because you can't control individual behaviour. I do believe however due to pressure within Western democracies we do treat other countries better than in the past, so improving but far from perfect. The US is still too interventionist in my opinion . It may be well meaning such as with Venezuela but the intervention tends to fail and secure the dictatorship because once the local population is aware of foreign interference they will support a dictator more.
