It's not only the US , Australia for example has problems but it's the extent of the problems. With regards to Australia versus USA with policing and our justice systems there is significant differences. The most alarming thing I have seen other than the actual event is the mayor telling the FBI to charge them. In both our country it's accepted (I think) that church(religion) legislature and judiciary are separate. No public official outside of the judicial process should be interfering in this case , the FBI and whatever their judicial process is. The mayor should have just said it's in the capable hands of the FBI and they need time to do their work please ask them any questions you want as it would be inappropriate for us to comment. This action could keep those people out of jail for years whether they are guilty or not because now the case has been prejudiced and to find an appropriate venue for a potential trial will be difficult. Edit: and apparently a shop owner shot someone in the riot so yet more violence and death.
