Warning Artist that's the current plan actually. But it isn't being done in a careful manner. Fauci said the words that things might get out of control and possibly cause more damage because mitigation might not be possible. Listen carefully to his words, containment is no longer on the table. Near the end of February he said the US didn't have many infection s because if great healthcare and tracing, which was the worst and most blatent failure overseen by himself and Jay Butler head of the CDC infectious disease section. I am assuming those would have been the 2 public servants in charge of / overseeing the matter.

@wirawansaputraimade4419 I have just been looking at different country information for January and the initial response is the largest indicator of future success at control. Thailand had a very large number of cases as did Australia and about same number in South Korea as US. Australia had 15 cases at end of January which is the total of US and Canada and Italy and France and Spain and UK added together and totalled on January 31st. Now I know why they started to use the hundredth case for graphs not first case which morphed into since the 100th death. Thailand had more known cases than Australia at end of January.

If they want a real effect just copy the "Australian grim reaper aids ad " and change a few words, it was a great and effective ad campaign

Flame you are right but certain reopening will increase infections it's basically a certainty and Cherubim you are wrong. It normally takes a few weeks to die from it assuming medical attention is available, so the ones dying now have nothing to do with reopen. The infection rate is likely to climb but will depend on business type. The 25% capacity of restaurants will help but it's still risky especially indoors . Crowded bars or large functions held indoors are the biggest risk and hopefully that's not happening yet. One person coming from overseas back to Australia infected 35 people at a wedding party over a 4 hour period I think it was .
