  1. They already have the power to search for you. All the app will do is make it much quicker. Here is list of countries using an app Taiwan , China, Australia, NZ , Singapore, South Korea, Thailand . Although I think it's too late for North America and Western Europe it can't do any harm. Please see infection and casualty rates of countries I listed.
