There's nuances. Pharmaceuticals are exclusively for profit. In the US the charge above market rates because the government let's them. Medical equipment is all for profit. Construction of hospitals is all for profit. So give or take any medical system in the world will be 50% or higher for profit. The problem is when insurance is forced upon people, that's a for profit financial service, it's not actually a medical service, that's a problem. Privately run hospitals that overcharge especially for emergency services that's a problem because they are often a monopoly, one can't shop around in an emergency, it's the closest hospital. One sector that needs to be government run is emergency care hospitals. Non emergency care can be done Privately for people willing to pay some insurance or wait in a public system.

Breaking news: Donald Trump now promises to buy up $100,000,000 in monopoly money as a strategic reserve. Money seized in NY to be added to this strategic reserve.
11
At least Reagan believed in increasing free trade, Trump is an anti trade president.

Nationalise is the word you're after.
7
You mean trade surplus, they have a deficit now.
4
I don't think they can deny the appointment, they could however create a diplomatic incident and expell him after he arrives.
4
Hit and run can be sort of nothing to manslaughter. Was the hit and run incident nothing or something?
4
He's giving a recommendation to buy shares in Hasbro instead of health insurers.
4
Trump makes some dictators look good. At least some dictatorships are more functional.
3
That's all good and well and both through being fortunate and luck you are doing well for your age. However you will be less capable than you were 20 years ago.
3
They sort of don't have a choice, especially Mexican and Canadian leaders.
3
@Ladybird41 it wouldn't be a top hat because that represents the elite. Maybe the iron because that could be working class.
3
Which is a small minority and on top of that Trump got a 53% approval rating recently. American are loving Trump 2.0 , that's just a fact.
2
He can enter on his diplomatic passport, however France could expell him which would create a diplomatic incident.
2
Maybe, maybe not. Very hard to know after they're destroyed.
2
He took a bike.

Because Tesla is very much a multinational it's the world ex China boycotting it that's doing the damage. Sales drops in every European market plus Australia and of course California and Canada adds up.

The swamp must be Fox.

It's not that simple. This could breach fair trading laws or something. Think about it, you purchase a business and the business advertises through various social media platforms. If those social media platforms can just shut down all the advertising of that business because ownership has changed that would seem a bit ridiculous. It also means can't sell such a business because who would buy a business that will have all it's regular customers cut off from marketing.

Hello scammer.
1
Give the guy credit he was sort of half right on one aspect. You can make water bombs with balloons or condoms. See condoms can be duel use.
1
France can now say they're sending their worst they're sending criminals.
1
I am sure ASIO (Australian Security and Intelligence Organisation) would be having discussions about that very subject right now along with the other 5 Eyes counterparts.
1
Terrible idea, an authoritarian like Trump would find psychiatrists who are loyalists to remove Democrats.
1
Trump might be an idiot and increase the chances of bad things happening but to jump to the conclusion it's his fault is ridiculous.
1
You mean like when someone kills 20 school kids in a massacre , teens are still permitted access to semi-automatic weapons in most states and can purchase their own without waiting once turning 18. Can't drink yet in the US but can buy a semi-automatic rifle without restrictions in most states. So are the for profit insurance schemes related to healthcare going to voluntarily just stop existing?
1
It's probably too late a capital T on a vehicle is a bit like a swastika at the moment.
1
Not all of us, the traitors at Sky News Australia were gleeful of a US president ready to start a trade war with Australia. I read through the comments section of one of their clips and fully of Aussies wanting to lose a trade war with Trump. Maybe it's changed more recently but I rarely check their clips.
1
@user-roadwander governments run all sorts of businesses and under very different models depending on the particular purpose. Not sure how this relates to healthcare in the US though.
1
@yackawaytube it always has been in a social perspective. Economically and military it hasn't been for a long time.
1
Not a good idea, it's very hard for Mexico and Canada to decouple. Mexico and Canada will continue to honour the USMCA between each other.
1
Because he respects his wife's wishes not to take the matter further. Many rape victims don't report because doing so is traumatic also.
1
Because it is , the amount you put in has little correlation to what you take out which is currently on average more than you put in and of course your personal benefits depends on how long you live. The system itself is operating like a Ponzi scheme needing new entrants into the job market to pay for those receiving benefits. The trustees of these funds predict if nothing is changed the funds dry up completely in 2035.
1
It'll probably accelerate as Trump and Musk annoy more countries. One place sales are still strong for now is China.
1
For agricultural products I am sure Canada would be actively trying to increase sales to China.
1
Only if it's done in deep red states or areas. Republicans aren't going to care about protests in Californian cities or NY or Washington DC.
