  1. It's irrelevant because the trial has partisan jurors, that is Republican senators. Jurors even in a court room can't be charged with anything for deliberately letting someone off. They can only get in trouble for lying when questioned during jury selection, however this does no apply to the impeachment.

  2.  @kelperdude  you're one of these nutters I think who will simultaneously claim Biden is just following the Trump plans on vaccine rollout and overall approach on this matter ( and you would be correct except a little more organized) and Biden is communist wanting to lockdown the country ( you would be incorrect, he has done nothing more than asked people to wear masks which is pretty pointless because only minimal benefit on its own) despite media rhetoric border still wide open just like with Trump only stopping foreigners from entry, meaningless probably USA isn't exactly a sought after tourist destination at the moment actually. Policy almost identical but Biden at least isn't encouraging people to get infected, so he jumped the bar for current US political standards.
