@paulklp8262 destroyed is a bit strong, reformed if possible in both cases, not saying it's possible or not I don't know. Personally I think the Republican Party will change over time , less likely the CPC.

@thisisisabella3634 A far right socialist crushes the workers in favour of the corporations. In totally free market no regulations would exist for workers and employers which doesn't work that's why every country on the planet has a minimum wage and most places will limit how easily a boss can fire a worker and how easily a union can strike. China has 100 USD billionaires in parliament , they are considered part time and they meet once a year usually to vote on legislation. From memory called the standing committee or something like that. Think about that number of billionaires and how many in US parliament which you call congress. I know people from the US tend to think of socialism as social welfare only but corporate welfare is fine and protectionism is fine. Having higher levels of corporate welfare like agricultural subsidies and less social welfare normally ( not counting pandemic handouts) doesn't make a country less socialist. If you look at the US in the economic freedom index by Heritage Foundation the US is fairly highly rated but still a long way from the top, this index is the best guide to how socialist a country is, however it does include corruption which isn't a socialist or non socialist thing which might skew things a bit.

You can't say that the CEO of Toyota North America is a US citizen, he would have made the decision I would expect and I suspect he is getting unfriendly phone calls from Tokyo about now.

@thisisisabella3634 No the CPC is far right socialist. Socialist if you look it up just says government controls means of production, far right does it differently to communists which have the state own everything. China started off far left and has become far right, noting far left and right are close together just like centre left and right are close together. Bernie Sanders voters voted for Trump over Hillary on average. I think Bernie Sanders is a good bloke actually and on social issues he's right but a bit far to the left on certain issues for my liking noting I am not American so really my opinion is nothing more than that.
