  1.  @txrick4879  Speaking as an Australian in a generally right leaning state totally agree with your assessment. Regardless of party every state will keep it's character, which is a good thing and why a Federation can be successful. Leaving any one party in power too long causes problems because they become lazy and don't care, this is human nature, if nothing else good make the Republicans fight to keep the state. Also I think doing that one box per county crap will backfire big time , if something like that was done to me I would make sure I vote against them now, it would certainly motivate me big time because it's not acceptable.   3. Texas your governor has said stuff you I'm the man. A bit reminiscent of one of the final scenes of Training Day with Denzel Washington . Metaphorically speaking let this situation end the same way as the movie. I may not be American but I do share the same common values, if I saw this happening in a poor developing country I would feel sorry for the population. You are not a poor developing nation and have nothing to be afraid of. As bad as they are , you have the power , not them, procedures in place will ensure the vote count is fair and they can't stop that.
