  1. The US has the same laws but they don't have rule of law. You would find however if other countries had political leaders move in the same direction we could have the same problems. If there isn't bipartisan support that this behaviour is unacceptable then difficult to stop it. If Trump can stand at a rally smiling when his mob says lock her up regarding the Michigan governor which did occur the bar has moved pretty low. He said personally Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton should be locked up and no pushback. That is calling for political violence and nothing, it's now normalized and this wasn't the KKK, Proud Boys or Antifa or similar mob this was the president. But to me whenever a person regardless of side of politics has protestors who support the person who is in power protesting you have a serious problem, the NAZI " brown shirts " is the most well known historical example. Why would one protest on the side of the police and military who are controlled by their favoured leader, surely they can look after themselves.
