In answer to your second question, the US essentially did nothing to stop the spread, voluntary quarantine counts for nothing. There was even and still is actually an automatic spreading mechanism built into how the very relaxed restrictions work, if you don't like the restrictions in your state or county just go to the one next door where you can take your infection anywhere you want. Total madness. Early on though by the end of February 2020 the US had conducted 500 covid 19 tests, South Korea with about 1 sixth of the population 100,000 tests, Australia my country with 1 thirteenth of the population 10,000 tests. The US was asleep, still is actually cases yet again rising rapidly with hospitalized rising and I think even deaths are rising yet again in the middle of your summer.

Well according to the CDC moving 7 days average of deaths up 26% on the prior week, ok it's at a low level by US standards at only 1,500 deaths per week but trajectory is bad yet again. Pretty sure some of those dying would be in Florida so probably already have candidates for your suggestion.

@Pop Corn No the virus has disproportionately killed people in the PAHO Pan-American Health Organization and European WHO regions , Africans are in Africa so by your analogy people in the Americas and Europe are stupid. I am in the Western Pacific WHO region and we have the lowest death rates of any region so we must be smart, including our indigenous populations. There's some truth to the last part of my statement, in Australia very early on remote indigenous people requested significant travel restrictions into their communities and it was done.

I think it's crazy rich countries talking about or vaccinating those under 18 when people in poorer countries haven't vaccinated their elderly population yet.
